Class 1  
Tuesday, 11AM-12:15 and 2:30-3:45 - Focusing on LYRICS.   How to write from the heart and work from the head. Starting from different places, titles, subjects, moods. Looking at poetry as a starting point to focus on the words without music.

Class 2
Wednesday   11AM-12:15 and 2:30-3:45 - Focusing on MELODY. Familiarizing yourself with intervals and their emotional impact. Starting a song from a melody. Going to new and interesting places with melody. Also looking at rhythm and how to break out of familiar patterns.

Class 3  
Thursday  11AM-12:15 and 2:30-3:45 -  Finish That Song! 
Limited to 12 students per session. 

A deadline is a great way to finish a song. Come to this final class of the week and ensure that you leave camp with a finished, road tested tune.  
Each student is to arrive with a song (try to keep it at around the 3 minute mark pls). It can be something you’ve had for ever and never completed or something you wrote that morning. You’ll play it and then take some constructive criticism from myself and the other students. We will be kind! On the way out, everyone will vote for their favorite song, (not your favorite person!) The winner will perform their song at the concert, with me to back them up if wanted.
